Officers of the Main Division for the Fight against Organized Crime under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of investigative and search activities held on the basis of operative information, detained one person in Tbilisi.

Detainee, O.Ts. (DoB 1996) is accused of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.

Committed crime envisages from 3 to 6 years of imprisonment.

As a result of the search activities held in detainee’s garage and place of residence, law enforcers seized AKC automatic weapon of Kalashnikov, “Magnum” pistol, 2 cartridges and 4 bullets as evidence.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition, article 236, III part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
