The US Congress expects free and fair elections in Georgia. Such a statement made the US Congressman David Price in the interview to Voice of America.

According to the Co-Chair of the Democracy Partnership Program of the House of Representatives, the Congress hopes that “the parliamentary elections in Georgia will be free and fair and that the results will be considered legitimate and recognized in the country”.

The US Congressman believes that the parties will hold “competitive elections”, after which the forces in the parliament may be distributed proportionally.
