Ucha Nanuashvili is in Brussels. The Public defender has met with James Appathurai and discussed human rights and reforms, implemented by Georgia.

" We told the Ombudsmen that the work of his office is very important, because we pay much attention to the annual  estimation of the situation in regard with people"s rights. We rely on his reports. The Public Defender presented a reform plan, which will be  valuable for Georgia and bring your country closer to European standards. This is important not only for NATO, but also for Georgian population,"- Stated James Appathurai.

Ucha Nanuashvili  said that the discussions focused on the situation in the prison system, as well as the judiciary and law enforcement system.
