Grigol Vashadze, the Chairman of the United National Movement, released explanations on his previous statement.
“I will further explain:
1. The protest should continue;
2. A political component must be added to this protest - through the mediation of strategic allies, in the form of negotiations on the implementation of the principles of fair elections;
3. Until/if the negotiations are not successful, we will neither participate in the second round nor enter the Parliament;
4. Once and for all, we all must try hard so that in the future street protests caused by rigged elections do not replace normal processes in the country”, - wrote Grigol Vashadze.
