Our citizens should understand that the healthcare system is not unlimited in terms of equipment and human resources. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“Although the situation in the world is deteriorating globally, it seems that the intensity of the second wave was not fully assessed. Today we see that in Europe, as the number of lockdowns as well as the number of infected people increases, countries with well-functioning economies and strong healthcare find it difficult to cope with the massive spread of the infection.

We are pursuing a strategy of adaptation and selective restrictions. Of course, we will continue doing so. But each of our citizens must understand that the resources of the Georgian healthcare system are not indefinite, so everything should be done to provide the services of the healthcare system to the people who need it the most: our elderly and people with chronic illnesses”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
