In a special video address the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, told Georgian citizens that the government had robbed them and they should together respond to the ruling team.
Asked why he does not address protesters during demonstrations held on Rustaveli Avenue, Saakashvili said the above should not be the main topic.
“I miss my homeland enormously, but I stand above my personal emotions. It is my decision not to address protesters, my friends. I do not think my topic should be the main topic right now. I miss my homeland enormously, but I stand above my personal emotions. You have been robbed and you have to respond to this. Now this is important and not Saakashvili and any other person.
I can come and sacrifice myself, but will there be a result for you? We have already killed one president - Zviad Gamsakhurdia. Do you want me to come and sacrifice myself, ok? I am ready for everything, but do you want this? Do you want victory or sacrifice”, - said the Formal President.
