Despite the calls of international partners, opposition is not going to enter the Parliament - Gigi Ugulava

Despite the calls of international partners, opposition is not going to enter the Parliament. Such a statement made today Gigi Ugulava, one of the leaders of European Georgia, before the meeting of the united opposition in the Lelo office.

“Our international partners agree on the main issue - the elections were rigged. Of course, there are calls from them - even though the elections were rigged and there was a promise from the Government to rectify the elections, they still tell us that we should consider entering the parliament.

Our answer is no! We are not going to enter the Parliament, but we thank our partners, including in the part where they see a systemic problem like us, but we firmly believe that the way out of the crisis is not to close a blind eye, but to end the vicious 30-year-old circle and to move to a qualitatively new level by holding elections. We thank our partners and look forward to the 3rd round”, - said Gigi Ugulava.
