Sopho Kiladze has been elected a member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child. She received 125 votes in the elections.

Elections for committee members were held on November 24, as part of a meeting of member states of the Convention in New York. Sopho Kiladze will serve in the committee for 4 years (2021-2024).

This is the first case when a Georgian candidate becomes a member of the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
