In the past 24 hours, 3,801 new infection cases have been confirmed, Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council, stated during today’s briefing at the Administration of the Government.
“Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, we have had a total of 118,690 confirmed cases.
We have 3,200 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 98,781.
Unfortunately, 39 people have died in the past 24 hours. Since February 26, 2020, we have had a total of 1,124 fatalities.
Of the 3,801 cases identified today, 1,293 were confirmed in Tbilisi, 475 in Adjara, 793 in Imereti, 270 in Kvemo Kartli, 232 in Shida Kartli, 80 in Guria, 371 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 129 in Kakheti, 70 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 62 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 26 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
Presently, we have 18,759 active infection cases. 6,165 persons are treated in hospitals, including 2,728 in Tbilisi, 1,000 in Adjara, and 1,215 in Imereti. We have 986 severe cases, including 461 in Tbilisi, 155 in Adjara, and 219 in Imereti, of whom 452 are on a ventilator, including 188 in Tbilisi, 139 in Adjara, and 42 in Imereti.
3,920 persons are at COVID hotels, including 1,200 in Tbilisi, 2,154 in Adjara, and 265 in Imereti. 8,674 persons are recovering at home.
We have 2,037 persons in quarantine zones, including 412 in Tbilisi, 1,035 in Adjara, and 33 in Imereti.
Since October 6 through November 25, a total of 18,029 persons have been transported from the state border into quarantine zones.
Presently, 53,516 persons are self-isolating, including 17,841 in Tbilisi, 14,605 in Adjara, and 4,782 in Imereti”, - said Berdia Sichinava.
