Mikheil Saakashvili in his capacity of Odessa Governor was a guest at Ksenia Sobchak`s program. The anchor focused on Saakashvili`s political past, the errors and the ex-president`s future plans.

Saakashvili responded to the question regarding the arrests under his rule by saying that the statements that everybody was arrested were not true.

As for expenditures related charges - Saakashvili explained that the money was spent on the popularization of Georgia in order to attract new businesses.

The governor of the Odessa region spoke about his plans.
"The motivation of my appointment is also connected with military conflict.However, if everything is actually going to change for the better, it will not be some Novorussia, but a modern European city, and this will be Putin`s biggest problem. There were mistakes in Georgia , and I have repeatedly recognized it . However, I can not  agree with the nonsense that everybody was imprisoned in Georgia. There were no political prisoners in Georgia at that time , but today there are.

As for 2007, it was a very complex story. I resigned then and cut my term by one year. Now it"s time for elections in Georgia. As soon as Georgian people need me, I will return. This is not just a slogan. I am not a classic politician, I am a revolutionary, who knows what it means, when thousands of people are out on the street and it all takes place peacefully, "- said Michael Saakashvili.
