As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out throughout Georgia, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, during the months of October-November of 2020, exposed 43 facts of storage, transportation and sale of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks. 

During the investigation, total number of 73 608 boxes of different brands of non-excised tobacco, intended for sale, were seized from the persons exposed in crime. Total market value of the seized goods exceeds GEL 300 000.

At this stage of the investigation, 24 people have been accused and brought to the criminal liability for this crime, 8 of whom have been arrested.
