“B” category right-hand drive vehicles will be able to continue operations using applications until January 1, 2022, said today the Mayor of Tbilisi.

“The deadline for right-hand drive taxis had been expanded by one year taking into account the difficult economic situation and the pandemic. Before the deadline extension, right-hand drive vehicles were allowed to work as category B taxis until January 1, 2021”, - added Kakha Kaladze.

As a result of a reform which took effect on October 1, 2019 in Tbilisi taxis were divided into two categories – “A” and “B”.
