Kakheti police seized 1 kg. of heroin containing drug substance – 1 person detained

The officers of Kakheti police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative activities, detained A.S. (DoB 1985) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities.

Committed crime envisages from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.

A.S. was detained in Mughanlo village, Sagarejo municipality. As a result of the personal search law enforcers seized 1 kilogram of “Heroin” containing drug substance supposedly ready for realization.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
