The US Assistant Secretary of State congratulated Giorgi Gakharia on reappointment

The US Assistant Secretary of State congratulated the Prime Minister of Georgia on reappointment and expressed hope on intensification of the partnership.

Philip Reeker and Giorgi Gakaria held a phone conversation. The Head of the Government thanked the US Assistant Secretary of State for allocation of USD 132 mln as aid to Georgia. The amount is provided in the 2021 fiscal year budget of the U.S.

Talks focused on all main directions of the US-Georgia partnership including defense and security, democracy, supremacy of law and economy.

Gakharia thanked Reeker for support to Georgia’s territorial integrity and state sovereignty and expressed readiness for successful cooperation with the new US Administration.
