The Parliament starts consideration of statements by opposition members requesting termination of their mandates.

The Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules will discuss today the statements of Shalva Natelashvili, the leader of the Labor Party, and Levan Khabeishvili, the member of the United National Movement, regarding the early termination of their term of office.

Tomorrow, January 28, the committee will discuss the statements of the other 49 opposition members of the Parliament. The final decision will be made by the legislature at the first sitting of the spring session.

54 out of 60 opposition members in the Parliament wrote a statement on the termination of their mandates.
