Aleko Elisashvili, leader of the Citizens party, declared they reached an agreement with the Georgian Dream. As s result, they will take up their seats in the Parliament of the 10th Convocation.

“We, the representatives of Citizens party, have finally signed an agreement with the Georgian Dream leaders, Mamuka Mdinaradze and Archil Talakvadze.

We will get involved in parliamentary activities after the compromise is signed. This document deals with a fundamental change in election issues. The rule of electronic elections is to prevent any “carousel”.

All polling stations will have electronic counting machines, which means we know the result straight after the polling station closes. There will be three cameras with livestream at all polling stations so that people from the offices can observe the election process. The outer perimeter will increase from 25 meters to 100 meters”, - said Aleko Elisashvili.

He added that legislative projects agreed upon with the Georgian Dream should be initiated by March 1. If this is not the case, Elisashvili and Ioseliani will leave the Parliament again.
