If the opposition MPs miss more than half of the sittings during the parliamentary session, the issue of termination of their powers will be raised even without their statements. Such a statement made today the Chairman of the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules.
“51 opposition MPs are not in a boycott mode. They were in sabotage mode. Therefore, every time they miss the session, as provided by the regulations, the salary will be deducted as many times.
At the same time, there is a provision in the Constitution that if the deputies miss more than half of the sittings during the parliamentary session, their powers will be terminated. Therefore, the issue of termination of their authority will be raised even without their statement. This will happen at the opening of the fall session - when the spring session closes, the counting and analysis for the missed period will take place”, - explained Irakli Kadagishvili.
