Italian police detained 55 Georgians during the large-scale special operations in the country.

According to the local media, the epicenter of the criminal organization was Reggio Emilia. The group of “thieves in law” was tracked down by the local Prosecutor’s office as a result of a 3-year investigation. All the thefts were carried out by “Georgian methods”, with special tools, so as not to leave traces.

It is also mentioned that most of the stolen items were sent to Ukraine with the help of another criminal group.
