Based on the relevant order signed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, new chiefs of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Adjara Police Departments were appointed. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – Vladimer Bortsvadze personally introduced newly appointed chiefs to the Department employees.

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department, will be headed by Colonel Nikoloz Diasamidze. Before the appointment, Nikoloz Diasamindze occupied the position of the Deputy Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Nikoloz Diasamidze replaced Colonel Avtandil Galdava, who will be heading Adjara Police Department.

Due to the specifics of operational activities, the changes are aimed at increasing the efficiency of police activities, ensuring the maximum safe environment for the country and its citizens.
