Giorgi Gakharia wrote on the social network Twitter that he announced his resignation in the hope that it would reduce polarization.

“I believe that confrontation and rivalry within the country endanger the future of Georgia’s democratic and economic development. Therefore, I have announced my resignation in the hope to reduce polarization and deescalate the situation”, - twitted Giorgi Gakharia.
