The officers of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department as well as Shida Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti Regional Prosecutor"s Office, as a result of joint operative and investigative activities detained two people on the basis of the relevant court decision: Sh.B., (DoB 1986). and G.G. (DoB 1966) They are accused of releasing a transport for operation with malfunction, resulting in the death of two or more people.

The committed crime envisages from 6 to 10 years of imprisonment.

On August 23, 2020, 17 people died and 3 others were seriously injured in a car accident near the village of Biso, Dusheti Municipality.

As a result of the investigative activities, the law enforcers detained the director of the travel company "Travel G" Ltd. - Sh.B., (DoB 1986) and the owner of a passenger minibus rented by the same company - G.G. (DoB 1966).

The investigation is in progress under Article 277, I and III parts envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia, which stipulates releasing technically defective vehicle for operation, which resulted in the death of two or more people.
