Prosecutor’s Office expresses readiness to apply to court to change pre-trial detention in case Nika Melia pays bail

The Prosecutor’s Office is ready to apply to the court in order to change the measure of pre-trial detention against Nika Melia if the latter pays the bail.

According to Prosecutor Amiran Guluashvili, the arrest of the leader of the United National Movement, has never been a purpose.

“In case of fulfillment of the bail conditions set by the verdict of November 3, 2020, we are ready to apply to the Tbilisi City Court to replace the measure of pre-trial detention used against defendant Nikanor Melia with bail”, - added Amiran Guluashvili.
