Criteria have been developed for launching a subsidies program designed under the anti-crisis plan and the program for supporting SMEs and targeting small and medium-sized restaurant businesses in Tbilisi, to mitigate pandemic-related damage and stimulate the economy, the Prime Minister said at today’s Cabinet meeting.
“Today’s Cabinet meeting is attended by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, who has come up with the following initiative. As you know, the pandemic has crippled almost every economic branch, being especially problematic for the tourism sector and food outlets relying on tourist flows. But special criteria have been developed for launching a subsidies program designed under the anti-crisis plan and the program for supporting SMEs and targeting small and medium-sized restaurant businesses in Tbilisi, to mitigate pandemic-related damage and stimulate the economy.
Financial assistance is set at 5,000 GEL per outlet. Legal entities operating more than one restaurant will receive 10,000 GEL. Of course, the Central Government is ready to support City Hall’s initiative”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
