The Chairman of the Parliament responded to the Prime Minister’s statement and his clear position on the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project.
“The Parliament sturdily supports the Anaklia port project, which is confirmed by the constitutional record. We are committed to working actively with the Government, partners and potential investors for its development and implementation. This is a strategic project for Georgia and an important application for the economy of the future”, - he added saying that the Government did its best to implement the Anaklia project.
“Although the private sector has not been able to attract investment, the port of Anaklia, as a very important project for the future economy of our country - will not be left out. The Prime Minister’s statement was very clear today and we hail the resumption of work on its implementation. Despite the post-pandemic crisis, we hope that, in close cooperation with our key strategic partners, the United States and the European Union, we will be able to attract investors and implement the project”, - concluded Archil Talakvadze.
