Tbilisi is mourning the disaster victims, whili in Batumi the participants of the International Folk Dance Festival are solemnly marching through the streets today, waving Russian flags. Several countries including Russia are participating in the festival.

Batumi residents held a protest rally against festivities and Russian flags at the end of the day.

The City Hall deniespartcipation in the organization of the festival, the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education od Ajara had no information about the festival . The founder of the festival, said that the event was planned long ago, participants came at their own expense, so it was not possible to cancel the planned event.
