The questions at the meeting were mainly about reforms. Such a statement made the Chairperson of Transparency International-Georgia after meeting with Christian Danielsson.
“This opposition should have a certain role and function in the Parliament when the judges of the Supreme Court are elected, or when it comes to the head of the Audit Service or the Prosecutor General.
We also talked about what can be in terms of the increased corruption that we have in the country, what concrete steps can be taken in this direction to insure our system.
On the one hand, we are talking about how to ease the crisis for the moment. On the other hand, how to move the country forward after that. Georgia will move forward only as a result of democratic reforms and we simply have no other choice”, - said Eka Gigauri.
