Opposition’s ultimatums were related to 2 points. One point was directly related to the violation of the rule of law and the other was directly against the interests of the state. Such a statement made the Chairman of the Georgian Dream after the EU-mediated meeting between the opposition and the ruling party.

“The process will continue, we have close partnerships with our friends, international partnerships. We remember the rhetoric of the opposition yesterday, when they insulted the European institutions.

This process continued today and it was once again revealed that they have such an attitude towards European institutions, which is disrespectful. The relatively simple points were discussed yesterday and the positions were brought closer to each other on the main issues.

Yesterday’s points could not have been an obstacle to reaching an agreement, but additional 2 points were discussed today and we received ultimatums regarding both points, which showed that the opposition’s intention was to disrupt these talks”, - explained Irakli Kobakhidze.
