The situation concerning landslide on the Vashlijvari slope is under control and the population has no reason to panic. Such a statement made today the Maypr of Tbilisi.
“We have strengthened security as much as possible and we try not to let citizens in there. Too many people go up, watch and then they bring the wrong information, trying to sow panic. If they are really worried about the current situation, our door is open and they can join the working group.
At this stage the research is underway, the decision on the work to be carried out will be announced by the end of the week. The working group was formed from the first day and German specialists were added to this group.
These people were working on the restoration of the Tskneti-Akhaldaba landslide road and also on Sheshelidze Street, where there was a serious problem and a great danger to the locals.
I know that there are some interested groups, experts who study similar areas in the city and have a lot of information. I will instruct my deputy Irakli Bendeliani to involve these people in the working group and work together to solve a specific problem as soon as possible”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
