The officers of the Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs solved the case of premeditated murder and wounding of three people in Gurjaani Municipality as a result of operative-investigative activities. Law enforcers detained the following persons for the mentioned crime: A.T. (DoB1965) And J.T. (DoB1980).

The committed crime envisages from 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment.

The investigation established that on March 25 of the current year, in the vicinity of the village of Chumlaki, Gurjaani Municipality, an automatic firearm was fired to the direction of the vehicle belonging to MB. (DoB 19790), as a result of which I.ch., (DoB-1979) died at the place of crime, while M.M., (DoB1990), Z.B. (DoB-1972), and the owner of the car himself - M.B. received various health injuries. All three wounded persons were taken to the clinic where they are receiving appropriate treatment.

During a personal search of the detainees, law enforcement officers seized 2 “Kalashnikov” automatic weapons, 2 cartridges and 8 magazines as evidence.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder and the attempted murder of three people as well as on the fact of illegal purchase-keeping and carrying of firearms, articles 108, 19-109 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
