Representatives of the opposition clashed with the security officers of Batumi City Assembly [Sakrebulo]. Opposition parties and their supporters wanted to attend the sitting.

The Batumi Sakrebulo was due to discuss leasing a territory to Le Meridian Hotel in the Batumi Boulevard.

The tension followed an attempt of demonstrators to break through the lined-up police officers.
