The Citizens party leader Aleko Elisashvili unveiled the details of the failed EU mediated talks between the ruling party and the opposition.

“The opposition representatives demanded Giorgi Rurua’s immediate release. The Chairman of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze asked the opposition representatives whether they would sign the European Union mediator’s document in case of Rurua’s fast discharge, but they rejected the idea.

Only Girchi leader Vakho Megrelishvili, our party, and Georgian Dream were ready to sign the document”, - said Aleko Elisashvili.

He doubts someone serves Russia’s interests and tries to disrupt the talks.
