A coup or a change of government from the street is absolutely and categorically unacceptable for me. Such a statement made today MEP Viola von Cramon in the interview to Formula TV.
“I wish there were no boycott, and I called on all colleagues to take up their seats in the Georgian parliament. As an MEP, I will work only with real parliamentarians. Boycott is not the solution. You betray your constituents when run in the elections, but do not enter the parliament, do not take your seat.
Why vote if I do not take up the belonging seat in the Parliament of Georgia. We support the opposition in improving, refining and controlling your rights. It is our strategy, but a boycott is not a solution, and a coup or a change of government from the street is absolutely and categorically unacceptable for me.
The opposition has decided to boycott and made only superficial assessments of the OSCE report. What does the topic of Giorgi Rurua have to do with it? The opposition must also bear the responsibility. It must take the first steps. It would be fair for their voters to compromise only if members of opposition parties enter the Parliament, and cooperate there. The Government should have a great responsibility, but the opposition spectrum should not obstruct at the same time. Everything else is just in vain”, - thinks Viola von Cramon.
