Due the damage inflicted to a sewage pipeline during the June 13 flood, the sewage waters was directly entering the Vere River.
It became known only after the journalistic investigation of the Public Broadcaster yesterday.
Georgian Water and Power Company said that they had provided this information to the state agencies. However, the Mayor imposed all responsibility on the company.
The statement of the City Hall says that the information was known to the municipal services.
The City Hall also claims that the sewage water was not flowing in the direction where the volunteers were working.
Ten days after the disaster, it turns out that the information about was known to the Center for Disease Control and the Ministry of Health.
