The President of Georgia awarded five scientists on the Mother Language Day.

Maia Darchia and Lela Zhorzholiani received awards for teaching the Georgian language abroad.

Professor Enriko Gabidzashvili received the Order of Honor for prolific work in Georgian-Byzantine ecclesiastic writings.

The Order of Honor also went to the scientist Vakhtang Elerdashvili for the Georgian language purity protection and its transformation into a digital space.

Salome Zourabichvili also awarded Zakaria Purtskhvanidze with Order of Honor for the popularization of the Georgian language in Germany.
