The Georgian Dream publicly signed the compromise solution prepared by the European Council President Charles Michel’s personal envoy Christian Danielsson.

The Speaker of the Parliament Archil Talakvadze made this statement at a special briefing.

“We expressed our principled readiness at the final meeting to sign the document, which was also expressed by several politicians. But we did not sign it, as we expected counted steps from the opposition, and waited for the Ambassadors to hold additional consultations.

I want to underline that in the compromise document, the EU mediator did not include the snap elections issue, which is yet another confirmation of legitimacy of parliamentary elections and the Parliament. International community does not share the opposition’s allegations that the elections were rigged”, - said Archil Talakvadze.
