The EU does not pay the bail of criminals. Such a statement made today one of the leaders of Gichi party Iago Khvichia, while commenting the case of Nika Melia.
“The Chairman of the United National Movement has to accept the bail paid by the European Union as confirmation that he is not a criminal. The European Union does not pay the bail of criminals. In that case the Parliament would not have to pass the Amnesty bill.
Today we have the circumstance when [Nika] Melia’s imprisonment damages the situation, the purpose of common struggle - stabilization of political process”, - added Iago Khvichia.
