The goverment will provide assistance to the owners of the damaged by the natural disaster vehicles only if the state has enough financial means- this statement was made today by the Minister of Finance, while the Mayor of Tbilisi said that the issue was not on the agenda at all.

Only the vehicles which were not insured by private companies remain in Vake police station.

The opposition thinks that providing assistance to the affected population according to the existing sources is wrong and the government is obliged to help people.The NGOs have the same viewpoint. The Highways and Transportation Association says that the state should take resposibility for compensating the damage for the owners of uninsured vehicles.
According to official data, the prosecutor"s office registered more than 130 damaged cars. The uninsured vehicles are likely to be 40.

According to State Insurance Supervision Service, the losses inflicted by June 13 disaster to insured property amounted to 3.5 million.
