The trial of Nika Melia, the Chairman of the United National Movement, to be held today, April 29.

As his lawyer Giorgi Kondakhishvili said, the authorities have a chance to release Melia from prison without any preconditions.

“The fact is that the Government has the key and the tool to release Melia from prison without any problem. Nika Melia’s case is a political act signed by the Government and the European Union. Given this, it is unthinkable to leave Nika Melia in prison, in illegal political custody. Many interesting things may happen today”, - said Giorgi Kondakhishvili.
