21 cases of ill-treatment in prisons  are named in  Ombudsman"s annual report. Ucha Nanuashvili has represented the document to International non-governmental organizations and representatives of government agencies .

The  conditions of detention, prison health care and the agencies operating under the Ministry of Internal Affairs are also discussed in the document.

The Public Defender"s presentation coincided with the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture .

" The main challenge still is ill-treatment. The number of such facts unfortunately, has increased over the past years ,"- Ucha Nanuashvili said.
