Opposition parties met with family members of the unlawfully imprisoned Georgian citizen Zaza Gakheladze.

The meeting was held at the office of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli.

The family asked opposition politicians to help to learn about Gakheladze’s health and mediate in arranging a meeting with the Head of the Government.

Zaza Gakheladze, a local of the village of Kvemo Chala, was detained on July 11, 2020. The occupied regime charged Gakheladze for an attempt to cross the so-called border illegally and for the attempted murder of a Russian soldier. He was sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in prison.
