Georgia’s former Prosecutor General Zurab Adeishvili, who stands convicted and wanted for several crimes in Georgia, requested the termination of his Georgian citizenship back in March 2021 because he received the Ukrainian citizenship.
According to the Ministry of Justice, they studied the request and sent the conclusion to the president of Georgia. Salome Zourabichvili accepted the cancellation of citizenship yesterday, May 13.
Zurab Adeishvili left Georgia on October 1, 2012, on the day of parliamentary elections in which the Georgian Dream defeated the United National Movement.
