The President of Georgia welcomes the consensus reached by the opposition and the ruling team on electoral reform. Salome Zourabichvili believes that the political parties should duly fulfill all the points in the EU-brokered document.

“I salute that the Georgian Dream and the opposition have agreed on election reform-related issues provided for in the 19 April agreement, and their intention to send the corresponding document to the Venice Commission!

Timely compliance with all provisions of this Agreement is paramount. The election reform will prove to be a step forward for the Georgia’s future democratic development”, - reads the statement of the President.
