Owners of outdoor cafes in Tbilisi will be exempted from lease payments until January 2022. Such a statement made today Kakha Kaladze.

According to the Mayor, this discount was valid until February 1 of the current year; however, this term will be extended.

“The pandemic has created serious problems in terms of economic development in Georgia. Small and medium-sized businesses have been particularly affected. We made a lot of good decisions to help representatives of different fields to the best of our ability. Among them were open cafes that had leased municipal spaces.

Small and medium-sized business owners who have leased municipality-owned areas have been exempted from lease payments until February 2021. Since some restrictions are still in force and the economy is not fully reopened, we decided to prolong this decision until January 2022.

There are up to 200 Outdoor cafes that will benefit from this decision. As for certain entities that have already paid the rent, it would be considered as advance tax”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
