A 40% threshold will be set for the election of majoritarian members of city assemblies in local self-government elections. Such decision was announced after the meeting between the political entities in the Parliament.
“We discussed all the issues on which we had different opinions. There is an important novelty, on which we managed to get the consent of the opposition - a 40% election threshold will be set for the majoritarian candidates of city assemblies. This will be reflected in the bill today”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgian Dream.
