A deadline for the Central Election Commission Chair, member position candidate applications expire today. Individuals wishing to fill the vacancies at the CEC (Chairperson and Member) can submit their competition documents to the Administration of the President.

A candidate for the chairmanship must be a citizen of Georgia, age 25 years or older, non-partisan with a higher education degree, speaks the official language fluently, and has at least five years of work experience.

A candidate for membership must be a citizen of Georgia, age 25 years or older, non-partisan who has not served as a party-appointed member on an electoral commission, as an electoral subject or as a representative of a party for the last 5 years, has received higher education, speaks the official language fluently and has at least 5 years of employment or experience with the Election Administration Officer Certificate.
