This week, the Parliament will start discussion on the candidates for the Central Election Commission chairmanship nominated by the President. At the first stage the issue will be discussed at the committee hearings.
Both nominees are incumbent CEC staff, which is why they are unlikely to receive support from the civil sector and the opposition.
According to them, neither Giorgi Kalandarishvili nor Giorgi Santuriani will be able to increase confidence in the CEC.
