Ukrainian sailors were pardoned before Zelensky’s visit to Georgia

Ukrainian sailors - Volodymyr Dyachenko and Yuri Khomich - detained on charges of illegally crossing the border, has been released. The President of Ukraine confirmed this information on Twitter.

The detainees were released a few days after the conviction without pardon and their request.

Sailors were released a few hours before the arrival of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky at the Batumi International Conference.

Volodymyr Dyachenko and Yuri Khomich were arrested in November 2020 on charges of illegal group crossing of the border.
