The Delta variant currently accounts for over 80% of COVID-19 cases in Georgia, while almost 100% of infections recorded in Batumi and Tbilisi are Delta. Such a statement made today the Deputy Director of the National Centre for Disease Control of Georgia.

“Doctors are doing their best to save coronavirus patients. But everyone should be vaccinated against COVID-19 immediately. My personal recommendation is that there should be no restrictions for fully-vaccinated individuals, while restrictions should remain in force for non-vaccinated people in Georgia”, - added Paata Imnadze.
