It is indeed a project of the century, unprecedented in our country and unique in Europe in terms of sophistication, Georgian Prime Minister said at Rikoti where he, in the company of Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava, familiarized himself with construction work on Ubisa-Shorapani section of the new highway.

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze provided the Head of Government with detailed information on ongoing and completed works.

Irakli Garibashvili thanked the Minister and the construction company"s employees for their hard work and emphasized the project"s special importance.

“I would like to thank you, Mister Karseladze, and your team, for your hard work. It is indeed a project of the century, unprecedented in our country and unique in Europe in terms of sophistication. After its completion, our citizens will be able to travel from Tbilisi to Batumi in 3 hours. I welcome the construction company’s employees and thank all of you for your excellent work”, - said the Head of Government.
