Former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia presented himself today as a candidate for the Tbilisi mayoral race of October 2, 2021 local elections.

For Georgia party leader made the statement about it while nominating the party’s mayoral candidates, Tbilisi majoritarian candidates and members of the party list in the Tbilisi Assembly for the local self-government elections.

According to Gakharia, he is taking this step as a sign of solidarity with other party mayoral candidates, “who have to protect the interests of Georgian citizens in the most difficult conditions”.
